Partnership for the Future: The MFF and AgoraEU New Opportunities for the Development of Harghita County
MFF: EU Budget and Regional Opportunities
The new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034 also offers exceptional opportunities for Harghita County: we will be able to access direct funds like never before for local innovation, education, rural development, digitalization, and defense objectives. It is essential that county strategies are submitted now so that decisions are not made solely at the central level! The EPP–CoR group is working to ensure that regions – including Harghita – have a real role in defining and managing resources.

AgoraEU: A New European Funding Program
The #AgoraEU program focuses on revitalizing culture, media, and civic life. Its main advantage is that local organizations, media, civic groups, and local authorities can apply directly, without excessive bureaucracy – including for projects dedicated to minorities, multiculturalism, digitalization, or community engagement. For the first time, regions – like Harghita – can propose their own initiatives, which will be included in European projects!

Let’s Shape the Future Together! – Resilience of Mountain Waters Against Climate Change
In Miercurea Ciuc, on 17 November 2025, we are organizing a conference dedicated to the safety of waters and mountain communities, in the spirit of the European Climate Pact. Climate change affects us all: frequent floods, droughts, and changes in water regimes challenge life both in the mountains and in cities. Protecting local forests, streams, and wetlands, fostering community cooperation, and implementing innovative natural solutions are central topics – because sustainable management of the Carpathian waters is a common issue of public interest.
Urban residents, farmers, students, civil organizations, and local authorities – the future can only be shaped through joint action.
