We are conducting a survey to gather valuable insights on the forthcoming CoR own initiative Opinion on “Promoting cultural policies in rural areas within the framework of development and territorial cohesion strategies and the 2030 agenda.” The purpose of the survey is to understand your views, ideas, and comments regarding the importance of cultural policies in rural regions, with a special focus on bio-cultural areas connecting biodiversity and culture.

Additionally, we seek to explore the possibility of having a European Year dedicated to Cultural Policies in Rural Areas.

Objective of the survey:

The primary objective of this survey is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of culture in rural environments and its potential for fostering social, economic, and environmental transformations. By examining your perceptions and experiences, we aim to shed light on the impact of cultural policies on rural development, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the promotion of sustainable practices.

Your responses will contribute to ongoing efforts to promote more ambitious cultural policies for the European rural environment.

Scope of the Survey:

This survey will cover various aspects related to cultural policies in rural areas, ranging from your awareness of existing policies to the challenges and opportunities you perceive. We will also explore the link between biodiversity and culture and how traditional knowledge and practices can be preserved through effective cultural policies. Furthermore, your feedback on the potential benefits of a European Year dedicated to Cultural Policies in Rural Areas will be essential to shape future initiatives.

Why Participate?

Your participation in this survey is crucial in shaping cultural policies that have a meaningful impact on rural communities.

By sharing your opinions and experiences, you can contribute to the development of more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable cultural initiatives. Your insights will also help policymakers and stakeholders in understanding the needs and aspirations of rural populations and in formulating effective strategies to enhance the quality of life in rural areas.

Your responses will be treated with confidentiality, and the survey data will be used solely for research purposes. The results will be presented in aggregate form and will not be linked to individual respondents.
