Together we planted the trees of the future!

Harghita County Council’s priority is to build a green Harghita County!

Trees of Life in Harghita County organized tree planting actions together with schools, associations, subordinate institutions, NGOs and mayors’ offices. Together we planted more than 100 thousand trees.

Today, we are gathered again on the spot where we first planted a tree in Csíksomlyo.

One of our goals was to afforest Harghita County, and the other was to plant native fruit trees along county roads, providing shade and delicious fruit.

Many of the trees along the county roads have aged over time, which is why we planted fruit trees along them at a safe distance.

We would like students who have participated in tree planting activities to adopt a tree and care for them for the long term.

Thank you to the volunteer firefighters for watering our saplings during a dry spell.
