Everyone, including people living in less developed regions, should have access to cultural services.<\/p>\n
Today in Brussels, I was invited by MEPs to a meeting of the Economic and Social Committee as a member and rapporteur of the Committee of the Regions.<\/p>\n
We talked about the priorities of the incoming Hungarian Presidency and I had some suggestions on how to tackle demographic challenges.<\/p>\n
In my report, I highlighted the aspects that are important to focus on and to support the Hungarian Presidency in achieving.<\/p>\n
Harghita County would also be affected by these changes!<\/p>\n
I proposed the initiative of the European Year of Rural Europe to focus on the cultural and creative value of rural areas.<\/p>\n
We need a framework similar to the European Capitals of Culture initiative to support and promote rural culture<\/p>\n
Further support is needed for projects promoting cultural relevance, experimentation and innovation in the field of contemporary visual arts, aimed at the development of rural areas.<\/p>\n
I am confident that the European Union is just as concerned as we are with the development of rural and rural culture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
